End User License Agreement

§1 Who this agreement is between #

This End User License Agreement ("EULA") is between you and Frost ("Frost", "we"). It covers the Frost client: the Fabric mod file you download from your Frost account, its updates, and the documentation that comes with it (the "Software"). The Terms of Service cover your account, payment and the rest of the relationship.

By downloading, installing or running the Software, you accept this EULA. If you do not accept it, do not use the Software.

§2 What the license lets you do #

While your Frost license is valid and you follow this EULA, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

• download the Software from your Frost account;
• install it in Minecraft: Java Edition instances on a computer you own or control;
• run it on one computer at a time, for your own personal, non-commercial play;
• keep backup copies of the downloaded file for that purpose.

The license lasts for the term of the plan you bought (see the Terms) and ends earlier if it is revoked under this EULA or the Terms.

§3 Ownership #

The Software is licensed, not sold. You do not receive its source code. We and our licensors keep all rights, title and intellectual property in the Software, including its code, design, interface, names and logos. Any right not expressly granted in this EULA stays with us.

The Software does not contain or grant any rights in Minecraft, which belongs to Mojang and Microsoft, or in any Hypixel or Discord service. Your game accounts, purchases and in-game items are governed by those companies' terms.

§4 One computer: how activation works #

The first time you activate a license, it is bound to that computer using a hardware fingerprint hash, as explained in the Privacy Policy. After that, the license activates only on that computer.

• The Software needs to reach the Frost license service at least every 72 hours. Without an internet connection it stops working when its last activation expires.
• Only official, unmodified Frost builds activate. A modified file is refused.
• The binding is to physical hardware. Virtual machines and similar environments are not supported and may not be used (see below).
• Changing computers or major hardware: open a support ticket in the Frost Discord server and we review moving the license case by case.

§5 What you may not do #

Except where the law expressly allows it despite this restriction, you may not:

• share, publish, sell, rent, lend, sublicense or give away the Software, your license key or your account;
• let anyone else use your license, or use the Software on more than one computer at a time;
• run the Software in a virtual machine, emulator, sandbox, cloud gaming service, remote or streamed desktop, or any similar environment, unless Frost has said that environment is supported;
• copy the Software other than as allowed above;
• modify, adapt, translate or create derivative works of the Software;
• decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer the Software, or try to extract its source code or encrypted parts;
• remove, disable or get around license checks, build verification, encryption, or any other technical protection, or help anyone do so;
• distribute tools, patches, cracks or keys that do any of the above;
• remove copyright, trademark or license notices;
• use the Software to build a competing product, or for any unlawful purpose.

Your statutory rights. If the law where you live gives you a right that cannot be excluded by contract, such as the right under EU and UK law to observe, study and test how software works while using it as licensed, or to decompile it where strictly necessary for interoperability with other software, this section does not take that right away.

§6 Updates #

We may release updates that fix problems, follow Minecraft or Hypixel changes, add or remove features, or strengthen license protection. The Software checks for new releases when it starts and tells you when one is available; it does not install updates on its own.

Older builds may stop activating after a newer build replaces them. Download the current build from your account if that happens. Updates are covered by this EULA unless they come with different terms.

§7 Third-party and open-source components #

The Software includes components made by others. Each stays under its own license, and nothing in this EULA limits the rights those licenses give you.

Frost also needs Fabric Loader, Fabric API and Fabric Language Kotlin, which you install separately under their own licenses (Apache License 2.0). License texts: Apache 2.0, MIT, SIL OFL 1.1.

§8 Know what the Software does #

The Software can control your Minecraft character: move, attack, mine, open menus, buy and sell on the Bazaar, and spend in-game coins and items according to the settings you choose. Read each module's settings before turning it on.

• Using the Software on Hypixel breaks Hypixel's rules. Your account can be banned, permanently, with everything on it.
• Failsafes respond to some interruptions; they do not prevent detection or bans.
• Automation can make mistakes, for example buying at the wrong price or losing items, especially after a game update.
• The Software may stop working after Minecraft, Fabric or Hypixel updates.

§9 Compatibility #

The current Software supports the Minecraft version, mod loader and Java version listed on the downloads page, on Windows and Linux. Other versions, operating systems, launchers or mod combinations may not work, and we do not promise they will.

§10 Termination #

This license ends automatically when your plan expires. We may also revoke it under the Terms, for example if you share or resell your license or tamper with the Software. When the license ends, stop using the Software and delete your copies.

§11 Warranty and liability #

The warranty and liability terms in the Terms of Service apply to the Software. If you are a consumer, you keep your statutory rights for digital content that is faulty or not as described.

§12 Export and sanctions #

Do not use, export or transfer the Software in breach of export control or sanctions law.
